PIXO RESCUE allows you to recover corrupted or deleted digital image files from memory cards and save them to your computer. It is designed for PIXO MEDIA USB card reader but it also works with memory cards connected directly to your computer and digital cameras appearing as a drive letter on your computer. To start recovering, select the drive where you want to find images (the information of the drive you have selected is shown: media, bytes per sector, capacity, and status). After choosing the desired drive, select the destination folder, file name prefix (found images will be saved in the destination folder with the name 'prefix'), the number of retries, and the number of sectors to read at once, click on the start button to begin searching. The program will search for images through all the drive, sector by sector. Each found image will be saved in the destination folder. During the search process you can see the recovery progress, found images, the number of read sectors and read the errors found. After the search is finished, open the destination folder and you will see all the found images with recognized format. Supported memory card formats: SmartMedia, CompactFlash, SD, MMC, xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick and Microdrive. Supported image and audio/video files: JPEG, Exif, TIFF, PNG, GIF, BMP, Canon CRW, AVI, MOV, and WAV. To install the program unzip the downloaded file, run the PIXO RESCUE INSTALL file, and follow the instructions of the setup wizard.
